Nescafe Liveried Trams

Croydon is not alone in having a tram advertising Nescafe. Both Oslo, Norway and Brussels, Belgium also have them.

Croydon's 2533 is actually carrying the second version of the advert as the old version didn't meet the requirements of the Rail Vehicle Accessibility Regulations. These require the doors to be in a contrasting colour to the rest of the body. As a result the doors were changed from Red to White which has also had the effect of brightening up the otherwise dark livery.
